This one was more elaborate than usual. I could take the face off the clock but to get a view looking down I had to rig up a mirror above the mechanism and shoot from the floor looking up into the mirror, using a telephoto lens. The poor optical quality of the mirror shows in some of the funny, not very sharp edges---I'll use something better next time. I set up an electric lamp inside the cabinet, below the mechanism, to get this lighting effect. The bright bars at upper right are the chimes.
