I saw this during an evening dive in the Solomon Islands last March. The croinoids, a.k.a. basket stars, stay curled up in hiding during the day but come out at night to take a walk and collect food (an amazing thing to watch). This one was just emerging from a hole in the coral. There was some current so I had to keep swimming back and diving down from above to get into position and (hopefully) catch in in focus. In the end I took the shot while hanging upside-down and letting the current pull me past it.
