I was photographing these flower buds in my front yard all week, partly because I thought they resembled buttons. I was out after a morning rain and spotted this insect. I took the shot using my macro lends and flash, with a 1/500 sec exposure and f22. The tiny aperture gave me reasonable depth of field and the 1/500 second was short enough to make it look like night, even though it wasn't.
