I had fun playing around with photos of these three examples of telephone technology. After lots of experiments with lighting, I ended up with cloud-filtered sunlight, which allowed me to get a reasonable exposure on everything without washing out the cell phone's display. I used a tripod, small aperture and long exposure to get the depth of field I needed. The fun part was that the cell phone display would only stay on for maybe five seconds at a time so I had to act quickly.
