I didn't get much chance to go exploring with my camera, but I decided to see what I could do around the house with the theme. I bought a bag of river rocks from the local Michael's. I've seen some other photographic work using a flatbed scanner so I decided to see how that might work. Here's one experiment. I liked the contrast between the sharp crystalline structure of the geode vs. the rounded stones. I think the scanner gives an interesting perspective, creating the illusion that the rocks are floating in the air.
