This is an overhead view of the bay marshlands around sunset. My partner just got his flying license and we were coming in for a landing at Palo Alto Airport. The marshlands turn bright green in the spring so the deep brown color suggested dormancy and winter to me. Also I liked the contrast in color and texture between the water channels and the land.
