Two things I associate with winter are bare deciduous trees and (in California anyway) rain. So after a morning shower spritzed a tree in our front yard, I decided to see what my camera and macro lens could capture. We've all seen photos of water droplets before but what I liked about this composition was the way that the same distinctive pattern of tree branches is visible twice -- once, out of focus, in the background and again, in focus but rotated 180 degrees, inside the droplet.
